DISC 2019 conference organized by our research group

Our research group organized the International Symposium on Distributed Computing (DISC) conference held in Budapest between the 14th and 18th of October 2019. DISC is a prestigious international forum on the theory, design, analysis, implementation, and application of distributed systems and networks.

The organizing committee included András Pataricza (general chair), Zoltán Micskei (general co-chair), Gábor Huszerl (local organization chair) and Ákos Hajdu (web chair).

More than 150 participants take part in this year’s conference. DISC 2019 featured 8 workshops on two days on such topics as cloud computing, blockchain, distributed algorithms. During the three days of the main conference 49 talks and 3 keynote speeches were presented. The keynote speakers were Dan Alistarh (IST Austria), Seth Gilbert (National University of Singapore), and János Kertész (Central European University).
